- Steve Mazan was diagonsed with Cancer back in 2003.
- Also a comedian.
- So he started his kick of ” Dying to get on Letterman”.
- He was turned away stating he needed to earn his way there and not get on for the sympathy vote.
- Why now?
- and I guess people thought he was good enough to google!

- Chris Speilman, Stefanie’s husband, was a college football player, an NFL player, and is currently a commentator for college football.

- - During the half-time show at the OSU-Navy game, the 2009 season opener, Chris was presented with a College Football Hall of fame plaque.
- - - In addition to the plaque, Chris will also be inducted into the hall of fame.
- - Stefanie was pushed out onto the field on a wheelchair, by her children.

- - Was charged with battery and false imprisonment
- - - Reality TV “star” Tila Tequila claimed in an arrest complaint that he choked and restrained her when she tried to leave his home
- - - - The charges were dismissed on 9-11
- - In related news, the odd-looking Tequila can, under the correct circumstances, be smoking hot, as evidenced by the picture in the show notes

- It’s hall-of-fame week for Wesley
- Former NBA player, played for the Denver Nuggets and the Seattle SuperSonics.
- - Retired in 1982 which could explain why I have never heard of him.
- - - That and the fact that he played basketball.
- - He was the #1 draft pick in both the ABA and NBA, but chose the ABA.
- - - The NBA team that wooed him, the Atlanta Hawks, didn’t seem to care about him.
- - - - They treated him to a meal at McDonalds, for example.
- - Went to 4 all-star games, once scored 73 points in a single game, and in 1978 was signed to the largest contract yet given to a basketball player - $4M over 5 years.
- - Sadly, got into drugs and they ended his career and could have ended his life, had he not traded them in for religion.
- - He completed his education in 2003, getting his degree in sociology.
- Why now?
- - He was not inducted into the basketball hall of fame.
- - - Well, he was. But that was back in 1996.
- - Michael Jordon, who IS being inducted into said hall of fame, chose Thompson to introduce him on the big day.

- These brothers beat their dad to death with a bat because their neighbour told them to.
- Then set the house on fire to cover it up.
- And the main reason was so the neighbour could continue his relationship with the 12 yr old Alex.
- So wrong on so many levels.
- Why now?
- Dateline special updating how the kids are doing now they have been released back into the real world.
- No one will employ the youngest children to be convicted as adults.

- - The gruesome, nightmare-inducing photographs go viral from time to time

- So… apparently the people of the country have an issue with the president telling the kids to work hard and stay in school.
- To better themselves, give themselves a future and put their best foot forward.
- He also advised them that they should censor what they post online now as it can be used against them in the future.
- Oh lord…how dare someone have good and positive advice and want to get an uncensored message to the next generation.
- Who does this man think he is? The President.
- Oh wait. NM.
- Why now?
- The message that the loud some didn’t want ALL people to see was done.
- And it was posted ahead of time so people could read it.

- THe speech happened.

- This river runs from Fairfax Stone in WV to CHesapeak bay in Maryland.
- Has two heads that merge into one river in Wv.
- In the late 1800’s early 1900s with mining and agricultural businesses taking off and the sewage being dumped that the river’s state dramatically declined.
- To the extent even the President at the time ( Hey Blinking) use to get away from the river’s stink!
- in the 1960’s the river was described as a national discrace and a long term clean up was put underway.
- Though alot cleaner, the river is far from being back on track.
- Still a hazard for heavey metals, foreign objects and sepecies, shellfish poisioning, overfishing and heavy boating traffic.
- Why now?
- Wow.
- And some news dude heard the call on the raido that there were shots fired at a suspect boat.
- Since that was the training and that was the situation.
- Some news reporter decided to be first to air the story and ran with it.
- Long story short.
- The airport closed, local and Federal authorities scrambled to get out there.
- No apology from the coast guard as they have done nothing wrong and training like this keeps them more in line.
- Government backed the coast guard.
- Hope some raido scanning news reporter gets the boot for public panic.

Seriously, I’m exaggerating my bitterness over that. Also I had to choose between 4 hrs of overtime and time and a half or talking to Sam in real time. 4 more hours of hell, or talking to Bob and Wes. Needless to say, I chose the overtime. Also the tangentials get a new intro, which is kinda cool, if hard to understand. But whatever.
* Haha! It was never 4 days. Only a couple times. Almost never, at worst. I just couldn’t, after recording 3 hours, get myself to listen actively to it for 3 hours until I had a good night’s sleep, so I’d do it the next day. And with those 3 hour shows I’d sometimes get to the break and then do the rest the next day. If it wasn’t for the “um”s and the aforementioned ice crunching, I’d have no problem tossing the show up unedited.
* Running gags have a hard time picking up steam when Bob sings over each instance of them.
* I don’t remember Bush I’s speech to any kids, but wouldn’t have had a problem with it. And back then I considered myself a Democrat. I do remember Bush II reading a book to kids instead of mobilizing our homeland security forces on September 11, 2001.
* All of the other stuff I want to reply to has to do with Bob crunching ice into his mic, and that’s been covered to death.
Does anyone know how to make sure life doesn’t get in the way of things, besides becoming a vagrant on the streets? I’m so far behind on my podcast listening it’s insane……
Podcast listening I tend to keep up on. I listen in the car, during every break at work, sometimes during work (That’s when I listen to music podcasts like Coverville), when cleaning my apartment, during walks…
My problem is keeping up with TV, which is funny considering I don’t have any form of cable/satellite. This summer I actually had to sit myself and the booth babe down in front of the TV and watch 6 episodes or so of various shows lest they expire from Hulu.
In a test, I have uploaded all the pictures I have from past shows. There’s a gap from October 2007 to March 2008, and I doubt I have those pictures any more. But all the rest are up.
